General knowledge about Cloud Computing, basics of system management. Some knowledge of SLAs is useful.
Description:
Teach the specificities of Contrail federation, introducing all the basic concepts (Federation high level structure, user and provider membership, types of providers supported, types of SLA's and QoP in Contrail). Demo of the main federation management tasks, possibly with lab practice (Federation administration and creation, exploiting federation resources as a user, exploiting external resources, federation management and monitoring with focus on SLA, security/QoP and provider reliability).
Format:
4 to 8 hours per lesson, mixed between presentations and demo (or lab experiences). Sizeable, but longer time is required for the demos and practice activities.
